Week Of September 30th
Fr Aidan Peter Writes:

Growing as Family, Building our Future,Witnessing Faith

So here we go!

The last two weeks we have been looking at our talents and time. This week we show our interest to support the Church in more concrete terms. The in pew process is simple; Fr Aidan Peter will be guiding all the English Masses at SLdM this week, at Los Alamos and Sisquoc the next week, and the Spanish Masses the week after that. Everyone is included.

Remember, the process is to show areas of parish life that you are interested in and would like to find out more about. We will follow up with “come and see” meetings for each ministry/group so that you can find out more and make decisions then.

This is a very important exercise for us to do together as a parish. To plan for the near and distant future we need to know and build up our strengths and our ministries; YOU, the parishioners, are the most important strength we have. Without you we can do nothing. Being involved helps us grow as a family of faith and worship; it builds our future by nurturing our faith and especially that of our children. We will in due course need to work out how we continue to practically support the mission of the Church through our giving. In the end, we must become an ever increasing presence in our community, witnessing to Christ.

Thank you for your patience with the process, your enthusiasm for the Church and your desire to be more involved.

As a reminder……In observance of Columbus Day, on October 8th the Rectory office will operate on weekend hours:  10:00am-3:00pm.

May God bless you, your families, and the week ahead,

Fr Aidan Peter
