Week Of October 9th
Fr Aidan Peter Writes:

Well, we had a great time with Bishop Robert last week. We must all heed his expression of the Church’s message to be a welcoming and merciful Church that has open arms for all, especially the lost, the unsure, the lonely and the hurt.

This weekend is of course our 53rd Family Festival. It is one of the great moments of the parish year. I hope you all enjoy yourselves and know that the festival is primarily for fun, but any proceeds will go directly into supporting our various ministerial and catechetical programs. Who knew that giving Glory to God could be so much fun! If you can volunteer late in the day I’m sure that will be appreciated. See Marie Farley or Steve Hein or Bill Verovski.

I will be leaving on the 10th for Europe for a General Council meeting of the Josephites as Vicar General and for a few days with my brother James who is having a major operation, and I’ll be back in harness again sometime on the 21st.

It will be a moment of déjà vu as it will be exactly a year to the day that I came from Europe to celebrate my first Masses with you as your Pastor. How time flies when you are having fun. And I’ll let you into a secret…I’m having fun here in this wonderful parish!

God bless you and the week ahead,

May God bless you, your families, and the week ahead,

Fr Aidan Peter
