Fr. Aidan Writes:
PLEASE COME FORWARD IN MINISTRY
Now that we are in the month of October, it is time for action! Throughout September we have been focusing on discerning and praying for the graces to commit to ministry and service in the Church. Now it is time to come forward. CoVid 19 swung a great wrecking ball through our ministry teams. We MUST rebuild these teams. WE MUST! I feel as if I am like that poster saying, “your country needs you” or, to paraphrase President Kennedy, ‘Ask not what your Church can do for you but what you can do for the Church”! So far 25 members of the parish have come forward to help as Lectors, Eucharistic Ministers, Ministers to the Sick, etc. We need at least another 75 to come forward. I am not joking, we have to build up our ministerial teams if we are to keep our liturgy vibrant and welcoming. Please help…please.
Parents of children from grade 5 through to Senior at High School, please encourage your sons and daughters to become altar servers. Fr Armand, who returns this week, will be ready to train them, etc.
May God bless you and your families,
Fr Aidan-Peter CJ
