Week Of October 7th

Week Of October 7th
Fr Aidan Peter Writes:

Thank you to those who filled in the stewardship time and talent pamphlet at the English Speaking Masses last weekend. We are processing the data. This weekend, the exercise will be undertaken at Los Alamos and Sisquoc English Masses and next week at all Spanish Speaking Masses. This will really help the pastoral team provide you with the opportunities you want to deepen your faith in prayer and action. We are all called, from the time of Adam and Eve, to a life of stewardship; placing our time, talent and treasure for the glory of God and the joy of His Kingdom. Being a Catholic is not a Sunday job, it is a life project. Please, if you did not get involved last Sunday do reconsider, and look to how you can help us all live the promise of our baptisms here in Santa Maria and the Valley.

This weekend is fun timeSunday is our Festival.

I want to thank everyone for their great efforts to put on this event for us all to enjoy.

Fr John is away until Monday 15th October. He is chaplain on a trip to Lourdes, Fatima and Compostella with a group of parishioners. It is also a break for him from his energetic pastoral life in the parish.

I will be away from the parish from Nov 4th until Nov 29th. I have Josephite meetings in England and Belgium and will be attending a conference for Fr General in Rome. I also have my 40th school alumni reunion and two engagement parties for two of my nieces. So it is not all rushing around doing business!

May God bless you, your families, and the week ahead,

Fr Aidan Peter
