Fr. Aidan Writes: Well it is such a joy to be able to celebrate having a bulletin again. As you
can see, we are changing its look; clearer, more direct and in glorious technicolor! At the moment it is still a four page format, but we hope it will soon go to an eight page format. This will allow us to give more than basic information and include various short articles and pieces to support and grow as a family of faith together. In order to become an eight page bulletin, we will need more advertising. If you
want to advertise your company, your trade, your skill or profession, or if you are in a position to bring this to the attention of someone in your company who might be interested in advertising weekly to over 750 people, then please consider this. It helps defray the costs of the bulletin and also it is a very direct local outreach for you.
We are gearing up all our programs but still being cautious. No doubt you have seen the news that Santa Maria is a bit of a CoVid hotspot and that Marian hospital ICU is full of CoVid Delta variant cases. We are not out of the woods yet. Various projects have and are underway at the moment. We have added and sorted out the storage containers on the field. This has nearly doubled the amount of space for storage. The Hall kitchen is being upgrad- ed to code. A new walk in cooler is being added. Hopefully that will be ready by the end of October.
The parish Capital Campaign, for which we had a very helpful feasibility study, has officially started this October 1st. The first 6-8 weeks will be producing materials, gleaning costs for projects and initial outreach. The program will speed up in the New Year. Remember, we are trying to raise funds to build the much needed hall at St Antho- ny’s in Los Alamos, three to five new class rooms for the school, and to undertake necessary refurbishments and reordering to the church. God bless, Fr Aidan-Peter CJ
May God bless you, your families, and the week ahead,
