Week of July 2, 2023
Fr Aidan Peter Writes:

Fr. Aidan Writes:

Firstly, I wish to thank everyone for the marvelous Parish Picnic at Pioneer Park. The Mass and the lunch were well prepared, celebrated and enjoyed. A very good turnout made it feel that we truly are back in action and fellowship.

Secondly, as you know, the celebration was also for Fr Alfred on the occasion of his Golden Jubilee of priesthood. He has asked me to thank everyone for the cards, gifts, messages, etc. He was very happy and humbled by all the affection shown him. May he have many more happy days in God’s service as a Josephite priest.

I will be away from the parish from 4th of July (enough of the jokes about an Englishman fleeing on Independence Day already!) and returning on the 26th. I will be attending the Josephite Enlarged General Council Meeting in Belgium (Frs Ed and Gerardo will also be there for part of it ). It is a chance to get together to see how things are going in the light of last year’s General Chapter. Please pray for safe journeys for all the Josephites to and from this meeting and for the discernment of the Holy Spirit in the meeting. Afterwards, I will be having a week’s holiday with my family to celebrate my sister’s 70th and a nephew’s 40th birthdays.

Frs Armand and Alfred will be looking after the parish in my absence, along with Fr John. Be good while I’m gone!!

God bless you and your families,

Fr Aidan-Peter CJ

May God bless you, your families, and the week ahead,
