Last week we made our emotional farewell to Sr Catherine and the Daughters of Mary and Joseph after so many years of dedicated ministry and friendship. For me it was a great wrench to see my elder sisters move away. But as always we go to pastures new. God bless the DMJs!
I would like to thank especially, Yolanda, Roberta, Dorothy, Debbie, Patty, Judy and Christine and the members of the Consejo and Hispanic cooking and serving crew who made the reception such a joyous delight. And to George and the massed choirs and musicians from both communities for enriching the ceremony. God bless you.
So from one end of the religious life to another.
This Sunday at the 11.30 Mass we celebrate the final vows of Br Gerardo. In this ceremony he will profess his perpetual vows of poverty, chastity and obedience in the hands of Fr Ludo the Regional Superior and the presence of the community and the parish. This is a most profound moment for Gerardo and one of great hope and joy for the Josephites. Please pray for him and for more vocations to the Josephites and the DMJs.
May God bless you, your families, and the week ahead,
Fr Aidan Peter
