Fr. Aidan Writes:

Dear Everyone!
Firstly, I want to thank all those who helped our Christmas celebrations be so joyous this year. Last year we were all on livestream; to be able to celebrate in our churches this year was wonderful. The decorating teams have excelled both inside and out to make SLdM

and St Anthony’s be a great witness in the locale to the arrival of the Lord. It was great to sing with so many musicians helping out and to see servers returning. Thanks also to all our Josephite Fathers for helping celebrate the twenty Masses from Christmas Eve through to the end of Sunday…….. “Phew!” Secondly, we face the year 2022. May it be for us all personally, in our families and here in the Church community a year of hope and expectations filled. CoVid is still about, but with care and dili- gence we only can hope it will recede. In the Church, it is our intention to get the parish up and run- ning as fully as possible, firing on all cylinders and growing in witness and strength and providing more opportunities to worship and serve. My New Year’s resolution is simple, to serve you as best I can with my brother Josephites. We have been so blessed and grateful for your support through the difficult last 2 years (almost). Thank you also for the many gifts and cards we have received and all the messages of love, support and friendship.

Thirdly, you will see a new statue to St Joseph the worker in the Gathering Area approach. I would like 2022 to be a local extension of the Year of St Joseph, dedicated to his honor under the title of St Joseph the Worker. He can support us in our great work of rebuilding the parish, not as it was but even better and stronger.
God bless you, your families an 2022 ahead. Fr Aidan-Peter CJ

May God bless you, your families, and the week ahead,
