Well here we are in the month of Advent having just received two riveting Missions. The Hispanic community mission with Fr Leandro and the English speaking community with Patrick Madrid. Both were really inspiring and both very well attended. I hope we can put some of their witness into practice. At the end of each session, I was reminded of the line in the renewal of baptismal vows where it ends with, “This is our Faith, we are proud to profess it in Jesus Christ. Amen!” A big thanks to all the organizers and volunteers for making the missions so successful and run so smoothly. Next week is the Third week of Advent when we will bless and open the Holy Door here at St .Louis de Montfort Church, the Year of Mercy pilgrim church for the north of L.A. Archdiocese. Pope Francis opens the Year of Mercy on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, let us ask our Blessed Mother, the Mother of Mercy, to guide us through the year ahead.
