Parent Update 1/19/16

Greetings everyone,

There are great things about 3 day weekends…and then there are not so great things about 3 day weekends. Not so great is having a Tuesday that feels like a Monday until you realize tomorrow is Wednesday. Anyone relate?  Sorry for the late weekly update…as you may have guessed, the 3 day weekend is my excuse for being tardy.

We have classes this week: Wednesday, January 20th  & Thursday, January 21st. We will have classes every week through February 18th. We will then have a week off of classes on February 24th & 25th.

o   Please be in the church by 9:15am and 11:15am (depending on time of service)

o   Dress: It is not necessary to be dressed in their Sunday best but, not sloppy either.

o   Parents & siblings are welcome to go to confession after the children have gone

Bald for Lexi 2016 TWO months from today/March 19th:  St. Louis de Montfort Parish & School has an effort underway to CONQUER CHILDHOOD CANCER! One of our parishioners, Jr High group member & SLDM School student, Lexi Brown, was diagnosed with cancer over 18 months ago & is about to undergo chemo treatment #3. Worldwide a child is diagnosed with cancer every 3 minutes. Only 4% of US Federal funding is solely dedicated to childhood cancer research. The St. Baldrick’s Foundation exists to fill the funding gap. The organization does ONE thing, fund childhood cancer research!
