Youth Group: Discipleship Training: Our Invitation to Live like Jesus
In the Catechism of the Catholic Church (#520), we read that Jesus is our perfect model. He continually displays an attitude of humility, kindness, and love coupled with a concern for those that are marginalized and on the edges of society. It is our hope that those engaged in this lesson will feel compassion for those less fortunate, compassion for those that are suffering, and compassion for those that are outcast. Compassion starts with our attitudes. To be a disciple we must embrace a non-judgmental attitude towards others to love them with the Gospel and to have healthy interactions.
In this session participants will explore ways to love others and discuss Christ’s concern for others, especially the poor and needy. This session is designed for high school youth and may be done with groups from 6 to 40 participants.
