The key to positive behavior support is not punishment, but reinforcement. With positive behavior support, parents can learn to provide motivation and maintain high expectations while setting clear and consistent limits.

Participants will learn to:

  • Understand the functions of behavior
  • Interpret behavior as communication
  • Defuse power struggles
  • Avoid the dangers of bribery
  • Understand the benefits of positive reinforcement
  • Hold children accountable with their selfrespect intact
