Archbishop José H. Gomez asks all people of faith and good-will to join him in offering prayers and support for all our brothers and sisters affected by the wildfires in Ventura, Santa Barbara and LA Counties:
“Friends, join me please in praying for our brothers and sisters who are facing devastating fires and high winds. Let us pray for the families and their homes and also for the firefighters and rescue workers. May God keep them all safe and put an end to these fires.”
The Archdiocese of Los Angeles is providing support to the communities affected by the fires through Catholic Charities of Los Angeles and our local parishes and schools. A special fund has been established to help those impacted by the fires. Donations can be made at www.archla.org/fires.
