St Louis de Montfort and the Current CoVid 19 Upturn
Firstly, may I thank you all for the wonderful, sensitive and sensible way we have been able to use our church for Masses and sacraments again since early June.
As you know, unfortunately the county has mandated masks for gatherings inside. This is now the situation we find ourselves in from this weekend: 7/8 August
So, from Saturday morning please will you wear a mask in church for all celebrations. This is really annoying I know, but we need to follow this guideline, please, with little fuss. It is one of those three steps forward and one step back moments. The need is real. Several parishioners have come down with CoVid19 Delta variant and we have had some incidents of those who have been vaccinated catching it and ending up in hospital. So the battle is not yet won and we must take the appropriate precautions.
Your sensible way of naturally staggering seating as best as possible has been much appreciated, please keep it going.
Entry to the church will be via the vestibule doors only from the Gathering Area. This allows people to get a mask for themselves that will be available if they have forgotten one at home. Also hand sanitizer is available for those who wish.
I realize some of you may be annoyed if not angered by this but I do ask you to play your part and also respect those who have to help organize Masses. Thank you.
God bless Fr Aidan-Peter CJ, Pastor
